Ethics Retreat

All students in the Molecular Cancer Biology Program are required to attend the course in Research Ethics. The course is designed as a weekend retreat at the Beaufort Marine Laboratories prior to the start of the Fall semester.

The course provides the opportunity for Molecular Cancer Biology students to discuss the principles of academic integrity in an interactive setting with fellow students and faculty. A detailed description is available on the Ethics Course web site.

Seminar Series

All students in the Molecular Cancer Biology Program are expected to attend the weekly departmental seminar series. This seminar series features leading national and international scientists who have made major contributions towards the elucidation of intracellular signaling pathways, thereby contributing important breakthroughs in multiple areas including cancer, genetics and development.

The seminar provides a unique opportunity for the students to interact directly with the speakers following the lecture. The full schedule of seminar series is found on the Pharmacology and Cancer Biology web site.
